Technical Sales Engineer

Job Description:
OEM/Custom Design Manufacturer seeks aggressive Technical Sales Engineer to initiate and drive sales activity to grow NEW business for design-in Rechargeable Battery & Charger products. This position requires prospecting and identifying sales growth opportunities, organizing and performing frequent presentations and closing business.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or equivalent.
- 5+ years proven sales and field application engineer experience in the Electrical/Electronics products market
- Proven abilities to seek out and close NEW business
- Excellent presentation and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Good skills with MS Office products including MS Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:
- Independently, prospect and develop sales opportunities at new accounts.

- Develop account penetration strategies, gain access to and develop relationships with key decision makers in customer organization.
- Lead team on complex sales opportunities.
- Sell on value rather than price by formulating unique value proposition based on knowledge of customer's business objectives.
- Establish and develop customer relationships at the operations, management, and executive level.
- Assess, qualify and report sales opportunities and appropriately manage resources toward their closure.
- Negotiate and close orders
