Technical Business Development Manager
Â
The Technical Business Development Manager plays a critical role in our Business Development Process. This individual leads all of SCT’s activities regarding product innovation and design including how successful the products run through the production process. By capitalizing their wealth of experience in print and carton design, they are an integral part of the Sales process acting as a technical consultant to Account Managers and Customer Service Representatives.

·        Manage the New Business Development Process
·        Innovation leadership using process and product design, the use of technology and machinery to give SCT a competitive advantage in the marketplace
·        Initiate and coordinate product improvement through technical design by utilizing customer requests, operations input and planned product reviews
·        Develop and implement solutions to problems with product design and production
·        Manage the Estimating process for all products
·        Graphics development for Sales and Marketing
·        Manage Vendor relationships

Requirements:
·        College degree in related field preferred
·        Minimum 5 years experience with Paperboard Packaging, Carton design and pre-press activities for Flexo and Offset printing
·        Proven technical leadership in the design of new products, package improvements and cost reduction
·        Demonstrated ability to directly work with Sales and Customers
·        Customer Service experience
·        CAD experience preferred
·        Ability to perform well in a team oriented environment
·        Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
·        Ability to influence and lead others without direct supervision Â
·        Flexible, organized and able to manage competing priorities
·        Train others to develop technical knowledge and skills in all areas of Paperboard Packaging industry
