This individual will lead the eBusiness strategic projects team and lead IT projects for the tycoelectronics.com external global website in support of customers across a widely diverse set of industries including automotive, appliance, communications, consumer electronics, and more. The team leader will be responsible for all major projects for the tycoelectronics.com website including eCommerce, eCatalog, and other related internet offerings. The team leader will directly manage projects in addition to managing a small team of project leaders. The team leader will work with the business units to define eBusiness strategies and assure alignment with business unit strategies. The team leader will also work closely with the eBusiness development team to implement these strategies.  Understand TE business goals, IT strategic plan, and internet technologies and trends to help define and implement eBusiness strategy.  Lead team through all phases of project implementation including problem definition, solution conceptualization, requirements definition, buy vs build analysis, technical design, development, testing, and implementation.  Serve as project leader responsible for delivering solutions on-time and on-budget, defining project tasks, managing project plans, providing status updates, and coordinating project meetings.  Develop and maintain process for continuous customer engagement - improvement suggestions, prototype reviews, feedback mechanisms, issue resolution, and proactive monitoring of customer satisfaction.  Participate in eBusiness Leadership Team including maintaining the eBusiness project list and priorities.  Manage overall eBusiness Project Management Office (PMO) including team adherence to project management methodology and best practices.  Supervise personnel - includes team administration, employee supervision, performance coaching, resource estimation and scheduling, task management, and chargeback administration.   Position Qualifications/Competencies - Required • Minimum 10 years of IT experience required including at least 4 years managing large IT projects. • Demonstrated experience leading large, complex IT projects using project management methodologies. • Experience with website technologies, techniques, emerging trends and best practices: HTML, browsers, eCommerce, Java, Javascript, WebSphere, Oracle, Web Services, XML, AJAX, etc. • Excellent organization, verbal & written communication, and presentation skills. • Business savvy to interact with management, users, contract resources, vendors, and other IT teams. • Solid understanding of IT systems including system design, databases, and programming concepts. • Strong problem solving capabilities. Results oriented. Relies on fact-based logic for decision-making. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for driving strategic initiatives through large and diverse organizations. Must be able to work through virtual teams and achieve results through others. Excellent customer service skills. • Ability to work with multiple projects and work streams at one time. Must be able to deliver results based upon project deadlines. • Must be able to occasionally travel worldwide and flex daily work schedule to allow for time-zone differences for global team communications. • Prefer employee supervision experience as a team leader.   Required Education Level:  Bachelors degree in Business, Computer Science, or Engineering OR equivalent experience and knowledge required.
