BASIC FUNCTION: Supervises production employees with regard to task assignments, checking quality and quantity of work, training, administering company policies, safety compliance and monitoring company goals. Maintains department performance records and reports to the Director as required.WORK PERFORMED:1. Insure that parts are manufactured to specification requirements and according to schedule. 2. Assign work to personnel as directed by Director of Manufacturing. This includes but is not limited to indirect jobs such as housekeeping, product sorting, reworking, and assemblies. 3. Ensure proper utilization of Manufacturing methods throughout the Primaries and Milling departments. Provide Director of Manufacturing with updates on status of all machines. 4. Track and monitor activities of personnel regarding SPC implementation, following work order instructions, completing on-line inspections, ITK kit verifications, and proper VQS utilization. 5. Effectively and efficiently utilize supplies, tooling and resources with quality, time management, and on time job completion in mind always. 6. Maintain close communication with other supervisors and department leads. Keep Director of Manufacturing informed of all activities. 7. With assistance of leads and other resources, train personnel regarding issues in manufacturing inspection methods, safety, SPC implementation, company policies and procedures, and other issues as required. 8. Monitor and review machine logs to ensure proper data entry from all personnel 9. Hold departmental meetings, per management, regarding and manufacturing issues. 10. Read and comply with all company policies and procedures as requested. 11. Manage department personnel as per established company and Human Resources guidelines. Assist Human Resources in salary administration, hiring, job descriptions, and employee discipline. 12. Must also have knowledge in blueprint reading. 3. Must have a Bachelors Degree. Minimum 5 years experience in Manufacturing, with at least 2 years experience as a Supervisor in a Manufacturing environment preferably with Machine Shop experience. 4. Must be able to communicate clearly, both orally and in written manner with bi-lingual experience a plus 5. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Package. Must be proficient in Word and Excel, be able to prepare Excel spreadsheets and the use of Power Point Presentation software is a plus.LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, technical procedures, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions in English.
