Supply Chain Engineer
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB: Lead the review and design of process improvement and design, documentation of all distribution processes, establish performance and quality measures for key labor areas, and layout design based on process design. MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES Responsible for the full life cycle of projects from opportunity identification and scoping thru the implementation. Demonstrate broad knowledge of a business partner's processes and the ability to assist and/or lead the business partner in process change in a proactive manner. Monitor all financial aspects of projects including benefits reporting and cost monitoring. Lead the development of on-going operating budgets and annual plans. Prepare effective written correspondence and effectively present information in a group setting. Communicate frequently with management and business partners to clarify and resolve system issues/concerns. Present proposals, recommendations, or status reports to executive staff when needed. Provide input and makes recommendations to management for resources, budget, projects and priorities by communicating results, needs, schedules, and other tasks. Develop and maintain labor performance measures throughout the Distribution Centers. Applicable understanding of all traditional IE competencies, including time study, process improvement, Value Stream mapping, and lean methodologies. All other projects as assigned by management. Establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department and the Corporation; and maintains the professional competence, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities. Requires regular attendance to perform essential elements as contained herein between the assigned start and end times for work.
Job Requirements:
7 - 10 + years Supply Chain Management experience. Industrial Engineering Degree preferred. Proven track record of managing multiple projects. Able to conduct, write, and implement major feasibility studies. Strong interpersonal communication skills and problem solving skills. Excellent presentation and meeting leading skills. Strong negotiation, organizational, and facilitation skills. Self-starter/self-motivated, capable of staying on track and pursuing solutions without supervision. Ability to interact with Senior Management in all areas of the company to lead change and communicate progress/benefits. Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously. Able to quickly learn multiple businesses/business processes.
