Datamax Corporation has an immediate need for a Supplier Quality Engineer in our Orlando based headquarters office.

Position Summary:

Leads the organization to fortify and sustain a world-class supplier quality program including supplier development, preventive and corrective action, supplier certification and measurable continuous improvement.  Will be an effective communicator able to work collaboratively with Commodity Specialists, Engineers, and Quality Department.  Will lead in the planning and execution of initiatives which will reduce cost of quality, increase supplier performance and increase manufacturing efficiency.

 

Success will be demonstrated by reduction of supplier contribution to the total cost of the manufacturing process, including acquisition cost, cost of non-conformance and cost associated with delivery performance.

 

Qualifications:

·        Strong professional with demonstrated experience in leading and taking ownership of supplier quality programs.

 

·        Must have broad electrical, electronics, mechanical and electro mechanical knowledge with thorough understanding of ISO9001.

 

·        Must be an effective communicator able to facilitate the sustainment of a collaborative environment.

 

·        Must have ability to articulate expectations as measured by supplier scorecard system.

 

·        Must have ability to communicate and work collaboratively in an aggressive and fast-paced environment.

 

Education/Experience Required:

 Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.  Master’s Degree preferred.5+ years of experience.Some travel required.
