Supervisor - Material Management Ironmaking

The Supervisor-Material Management will coordinate and schedule the preventive

 maintenance and spare parts for the Ironmaking.

 

Key Relationships: Reports to the Process Coordinator Maintenance Reliability Work closely and support the Blast Furnace Operation Process Coordinator of Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance. Work closely with the Purchasing group. 

Job Requirements:


Major Responsibilities: Coordinate and receive the flow of spare parts and maintains proper inventory levels.  Estimate project and track cost against established budge. Establish supplier list and seeks new vendors when necessary. Translate customer orders/inventory requirements into changeover sheets. Coordinates and prepares parts for schedule plan outages. Works closely with the purchasing group to ensure steady flow of parts and materials. Supports any unexpected break downs. Performance Metrics: Establish performance goals and objectives with the Process Coordinator Maintenance Reliability Customer’s delivery rate. Inventory levels.

 

Requirements

Education: Associate’s Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience. Must have 4 or more years experience ordering parts for a steel plant or heavy like industry.
