Supervisor, Manufacturing

Successful candidate will supervise the activities of the hourly employees involved in manufacturing operations in assigned areas to ensure quality and safety standards, budgeted cost, and production schedules are met.

 

Responsibilities include:Ensuring production and quality meet efficiency levels and forecasted goals by setting up areas, auditing and maintaining inventories.Monitoring equipment usage and functions for mechanical efficiency.Utilizing assigned personnel within the terms of the master union agreement.Communicating, administering, and enforcing company policies and procedures.Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Company enterprise financial system, lot-tracking and product genealogy system.  Utilizing reports to monitor process operation and develop methods to evaluate and/or improve processes.

 

Successful candidate will have a BS/BA* degree with 2 years experience in manufacturing supervision.  Experience in planning, organizing, and prioritizing workload independently; proficiency in basic mathematics skills, word processing and spread sheets; competent oral communication skills, analytical skills and effective interpersonal skills are essential.  Must be able to work any of three (3) shifts and overtime as necessary.  Tobacco and/or union environment experience preferred.

 

*Education, experiences, training and certifications will be considered and in some circumstances be acceptable in lieu of a BS/BA degree.
