Supervisor Human Resources

Union Electric Steel Corporation, a recognized worldwide leader in the manufacture of forged hardened steel rolls for the rolling steel and aluminum industries, is seeking a Supervisor Human Resources for our Headquarters located in Carnegie, Pa.

Job Summary:

Manages and directs the workload of HR Assistant and Benefits Coordinator, coaches, conducts performance evaluations, etc.

Manages the recruitment and selection process

Conducts employee terminations in accordance with federal and state employment laws

Responds to and attends Unemployment Compensation claims/hearings

Creates and conducts staff training

Conducts internal investigations regarding claims of harassment, discrimination and treatment issues

Participates in employee relations issues, councils employees and managers on issues affecting work performance

Computer Skills:

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of Products

Proficient in HRIS systems

Requirements:

Thorough knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws

Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to handle confidential information

Ability to travel as needed up to 25%

PHR/SPHR certification preferred
