In this position, you will: Lead PDP (Product Delivery Process) supply management activities at John Deere Seeding Group for forgings and drivetrain components. Integrate suppliers in the Product Development Process to optimize product design to achieve program objectives. Participate on EPDP (Enterprise Product Delivery Process) project teams to meet project objectives and represent Supply Chain Management. Work closely with suppliers, cost management and engineers to define and exceed EPDP program objectives including cost, delivery, and quality objectives. Work closely with strategic sourcing to define sourcing strategies and manage the execution of those strategies for JD Seeding Group Work closely with suppliers, cost management and engineers to continuously improve cost, quality and warranty on current products. Obtain and analyze quotes, leverage cost models, negotiate pricing, process engineering decisions, and order tooling. Set up new parts, containers, and material flow plan according to Deere Production System guidelines Education Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Supply Management, or Business/Management discipline.  Advanced degree a plus. Required Skills and Experience Skill in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution. Ability to persuade without control and work in a matrix organization. Analytical and computer skills. General experience with Product Delivery and Order Fulfillment Processes. Ability to detect and harness opportunities to improve overall cost and quality position. 3 years minimum Supply Management . Project management experience. Work experience in a team environment. Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% (domestic/international).  Desired Skills and Experience Knowledge of specific commodity (forgings and drivetrain components) and associated manufacturing processes Understanding of SAP. Experience working in a manufacturing environment. Experience with Strategic Supply Management processes.
