Within Tyco Safety Products, we design, manufacture, and distribute thousands of products ranging from fire detection and suppression systems, personal protective equipment and intrusion security to access control and video solutions, anti-theft and supply chain solutions. Scott Health & Safety/Tyco Safety Products is currently searching for a Strategic Sourcing Manager to be located in Monroe, North Carolina. Job Responsibilities:In this role, you will be responsible to manage sourcing and suppliers to achieve the best possible price and quality while complying with company objectives such as supplier diversity, MUSA, Berry amendment and GSA. Develop metrics and reporting mechanisms to monitor supplier performance and Buyer effectiveness as well as details of any variance to plan. Manage corrective action when necessary. Support all New Product Introduction teams in finding sources for new components/products to support project goals and schedules. Manage the negotiation and legal review of all supply and service contracts on behalf of Scott Health & Safety. Develop and manage an ongoing strategy for continuous cost reduction and PPV to support the expectation of 5% per year. Manage compliance to company objectives with regard to Small and Disadvantaged business spend, Supplier Diversity and any other supply base management requirement. Manage business needs in the area of MUSA, Berry Amendment, GSA and trade compliance. Coordinate activities with Master Scheduling, Production Planning, Product Management, Production and Engineering. Keep management informed of commodity or supplier issues in the marketplace. Work to minimize end-of-life scrap issues from Engineering Change Notice activities.Requirements: Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in a related discipline from an accredited college or university. Master?s degree, Certification by the Institute of Supply Management (ISM) preferred. 7+ years experience in Purchasing and Strategic Sourcing Management required. 10+ years experience in Purchasing and Strategic Sourcing with multiple companies/multiple commodities preferred. Must possess solid experience in Lean Manufacturing Supply Chain Management Six Sigma Green Belt certification is desired.
