Strategic Development Manager
Lead training and development programs across our Ken’s Foods Inc. Supply Chain. Balance the combined and individual needs of each of our three operational facilities (Marlborough MA, McDonough GA, and Las Vegas NV) by implementing training programs that support “Ken’s Winning Formula”. At the core this position will be responsible to strategically educate and build our workforce into a world class operational team. This position requires outstanding organization, presentation skills and the ability to be a self starter.
Role and ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, promote, and deliver training that supports Ken’s Foods leadership imperativesRecognize and justify new training opportunities and programs that will improve our skill sets, and create a winning culture across multiple levels of the organizationInteract and effectively communicate training and development from exempt to non-exempt employees Be the point person for leading and maintaining an IDP process across our Supply Chain organizationLead in the development of a proper on-boarding program across different levels of organizationMaintain training programs and records. Coordinate Manufacturing Technical Training ProgramsEnsure employment selection process for hiring of new talent adequately builds bench strength.Intervene and recognize areas of development as necessaryBe an extension of current HR departments across all facilities and support programs and functional areas including but no limited to the following;DDI training and developmentSafety Culture Development and PerformanceRecruitingRetention StrategiesEmployee DevelopmentManage Special Projects as assignedInteract and present to Ken’s Leadership team on developmental strategies, progress of programs and justification for new training programs and opportunities
Qualifications: Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experienceMinimum 5 years experience in design and delivery of training in a manufacturing, distribution, or retail environment Minimum 5 years experience managing leadership and employee development programs Training and exposure in technical writing and SOP developmentProven leadership, organizational and communication skills Ability to work cooperatively in team environment Ability to effectively interface with executive management Proficient in MS Office products Certification or Experience with DDI Learning Systems preferredBilingual in Spanish is preferredAbility to travel to other facilities on frequent/as needed basis
