Sr. Web Applications Developer

The Polaris e-Marketing team reporting to IS Applications manager is responsible for providing strategic and tactical direction for the development of effective integrated marketing campaigns involving outbound email, online data capture, website development. The goal of this team is to deliver an interactive measurable online medium that will effectively promote products, generate leads, support consumer loyalty, and drive traffic to the dealer network.

 

We are looking for a web developer with a passion for emerging technologies who has experience using these technology to develop highly scalable data-driven consumer-oriented web applications. We are searching for a talented web 2.0 developer to design and develop highly interactive rich internet applications.

 

This person would guide the technical design and implementation of building the next generation 2.0 website and well as contributing to the requirements for the technical platform underpinning the site, including the CMS, platform, and analytics as they related to a dynamic web site.

 

Responsibilities include:Plans and design information structure and architecture by studying the site concept, strategy and envisioning architectural scheme, information structure, features, functionality and user interface. Collaborate with project managers, designers, marketing managers, to refine the user experience. Developing applications in an object oriented environment using application development technologies including web services, Ajax, JavaScript, DHTML, XML, CSS, and Flash. Creating guidelines and best practices for website development. Formulate system scope and objectives to create or modify an application Prepare design specifications 

 

Requirements include:Four year degree in MIS, computer science, business or equivalent technical degree 3+ years experience in web application design and development working with highly scalable web applications using Visual Studio and ASP.NET Must have a experience building cross browser applications in an object oriented environment using application development technologies including web services, Ajax, JavaScript, DHTML, XML, CSS, CMS and Flash. Database Design and Relational Databases developing against SQL Server. Creating multimedia applications, integrating Quicktime, Windows Media, or Flash Video. Ability to work in a deadline-driven, demanding environment Ability to work as part of a highly cohesive and collaborative team Ability to manage multiple priorities at one time

 

Working knowledge of the following is a strong plus:

? Biz Talk, SharePoint and commerce server
