Sr. Vice President of Operations

A world leader of plastic storage consumer products is seeking a full-time Sr. VP of Operations at their corporate office located outside of Chicago.  Reporting to the CEO, the Sr. VP of Ops is a key member of the senior management team with responsibility for two manufacturing plants, several warehouses, purchasing, materials and inventory management, engineering, and Asian sourcing.  This position will be responsible for the strategic planning, the effective measurement and management of all processes to enhance profitability, productivity, and efficiency.

 

Job Responsibilities:

* Provide day to day leadership and management to the organization that

  encompasses the mission and core values of the company.

 

* Participate in strategic planning and execution to enhance profitability,

  productivity and efficiency’s throughout the entire value stream.

 

* Measure the effectiveness of all processes and implement improvements.

 

* Provide timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating conditions of

  the company.

 

Job Requirements:

* 15+ years of demonstrable skills in implementing and sustaining change in a

non-union manufacturing and warehouse environment.

 

* Minimum 5 of those 15yrs as a plant manager or comparable position

  preferably with injection molding experience.

 

* Degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent field.

 

* Lean / TPS experience and implementation.

 

* Strong analytical, verbal, and written skills.

 

* Capable of partnering with peer unit leaders.

 

* Multi-lingual (Eng-Spanish), Logistics experience and implementation of ERP

  software preferred.

 

Compensation:

Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience. Compensation will include a base salary, bonus and an equity component.
