Come see how we inspire play through our brands at www.hasbro.com Sr. Technical SAP ABAP Programmer BASIC FUNCTION: Senior Technical SAP ABAP programmer provides practical and technical expertise in analyzing and resolving business problems in the context of project teams.  Implements and assists project team in the implementation of business solutions as assigned by the project leader.  A Senior Technical SAP ABAP Programmer will interact with the client community and therefore should possess good oral and written communication skills.  A Senior Technical SAP ABAP Programmer should also possess a good knowledge of departmental policies and procedures.  PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: ·         Study and analyze existing technical methods and system technologies for any business as assigned by a project leader. ·         Design, innovate, develop, implement and support new applications and technical solutions to business problems. ·         Execute technical duties as required in the development, testing, implementation and support of assigned project. ·         Provide and contribute technical options to business problems in accordance with departmental standards. ·         Provide project status and time accounting as required by IS administration. ·         Encourage dissemination of technical methods to the project team and convey technical procedures as required. ·         Research, relate and recommend technical solutions and relevant software application tools, utilities, environments and languages. ·         Ability to develop and evaluate alternative technical solutions to best meet the needs of the business. ·         Attend technical seminars and presentations.  KNOWLEDGE AREAS:  Understanding of SAP development including ABAP, ALE/IDOCs, RFCs, User Exits, BADIs, Workflow, Smartforms/SAPScript.   Understanding of Inbound/Outbound interface architecture.   Understanding of defining and coding conversions using BAPIs, BDCs.   Strong debugging skills.   Understanding of SAP HR application development.   Understanding of SAP J2EE and Web Dynpro programming a plus .   Understanding of SAP Netweaver Development Infrastructure (NWDI) a plus.   Exposure to the new dimensional applications such as SAP CRM, SCM a plus.   EXPERIENCE: ·         5-10 Years programming experience ·         5+    Years experience with the SAP programming language ·         Ability to develop and execute task specific project plans with minimal supervision. ·         Off hour support is required. ·         Limited Travel may be required.
