Sr. RF Test Engineer

 Position Summary:

This position is accountable for the design and installation of manufacturing test systems to ensure the quality of the products manufactured.  As part of the Operations team, the Manufacturing Test Engineer will support current production tests, troubleshoot yield problems, assist in new product introductions, and make improvements to test automation and data collection.

Essential Functions and Accountabilities:Develop and maintain production test processes and equipment for products producedSupport the production testing of electronic assembliesSupport the transition of new products from development to manufacturingDevelops, evaluates and improves manufacturing methodsCreate and maintain necessary documentation, work instructions, for product specifications and testingWork with equipment and service vendors to ensure the application of effective test practices at vendor locationsInstalls and configures Microsoft Windows or Linux operating systemsInstalls, modifies and maintains test beds, fixtures and equipmentDevelopment of automated test, data acquisition, and control systems using Lab VIEWParticipate in design teams to ensure the manufacturability and quality of products designed with a focus on design for Test/Manufacturing (DFx) issues.

Position Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, related discipline or years related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience5+ years of experience developing automated test, measurement, data acquisition, and control systemsKnowledge of the RF/wireless communication systems a plusBasic understanding of PCB/PCBA electronic production, assembly and test processesBasis understanding of IP-based networking architectures, protocols or applicationsExperience and knowledge of software programming for developing DUT test procedures.  Skills using C/C++, LabView, database applications, and ExcelSkills using bench equipment: oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, power supplies, etcAbility to be self managed in a dynamic environment with minimal supervisionGood verbal and written communication skills
