Sr. Project Engineer: RMS 8399 The Parker Aerospace Control Systems Division is a supplier-of-choice to the aerospace industry for flight control actuation systems integration. As a systems supplier, we help our customers in all critical stages including system definition, implementation, integration, flight test support and certification.Sr. Project Engineer: RMS - 8399 CSDPosition Summary: Aircraft level Systems Safety and Reliability Engineer with extensive experience associated with Fault Trees, FMECAs, Reliability Predictions and Safety/Hazard Analysis for powered flight control actuation systems. Desired applicant will possess a strong aptitude for understanding hydromechanical, electrohydraulic, and electromechanical flight control systems and assessing the effects of failures on system operation.Responsibilities: 1. Participate in design trade studies to support the development of optimum solutions for high reliability systems. 2. Prepare reliability and safety analysis documents that provide detailed and comprehensive assessments of new system designs. 3. Present the results of reliability and safety analyses during customer design reviews. 4. Research and investigate failure modes and rates that are used as the basis for reliability and safety analyses. 5. Participate effectively and cooperatively in a project team environment. Requirements:· Bachelors degree (BS) in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical engineering field. · Ten or more years of related experience. · Successful applicant must have extensive experience with Fault Trees, FMECAs, Reliability Predictions and Safety/Hazard Analysis for flight control actuation systems.· Aptitude for understanding hydromechanical, electrohydraulic and electromechanical flight control systems and assessing the effects of failures on system operation · Knowledgeable in probability and statistical analysis; electronics and hydromechanical components preferred. · Desired applicant should have strong technical writing and interpersonal skills · Experienced with MS Office software (particularly Excel) and CAFTA is preferred Some relevant specifications: MIL-HDBK-217, MIL-STD-1629, MIL-STD-882, SAE ARP 5580, SAE ARP 4761, SAE ARP 4754, RTCA/DO 178, FAR part 25, MIL-STD-785· Travel required – less than 10%.Equal opportunity/Affirmative Action employer, U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.
