Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer - R&D - $80-100K - MA
BSME plus 5-10 years related experience to include product design, testing and certification. Experience must include designing heavy transportation equipment, such as heavy duty trucks, busses, railcars, chassis, trailers, farm equipment, construction equipment, etc. Must be proficient in 2D and 3D CAD applications, i.e., SolidWorks, Cosmos, etc., as well as MS Office, MS Project and MS PowerPoint. Must be fully capable of conducting FEA analysis, and have good understanding of testing and certification processes and procedures.
Our client is located in the Boston, MA area and is involving in producing and marketing a new transportation technology. We are seeking a top notch Mechanical Engineer to join the Research and Development team. Requires significant interface with customers and suppliers – some travel involved. The responsibilities include a wide array of hands-on engineering duties including project planning, product design, prototype and component testing and certification, manufacturing launch and customer support.
