Sr. Industrial Engineer

We are making great progress toward inventing a new future for 3M – a future of faster growth and increased competitiveness, while continuing to deliver superior results.  CUNO Incorporated, now a 3M Company is a world leader in the manufacture of filtration products that service the pharmaceutical, processing biotechnology, food service, and consumer industries.  CUNO's filtration products can be found in millions of homes, restaurants, brand name refrigerators, and pharmaceutical and industrial manufacturing companies worldwide.  Prior to being acquired by 3M, we were one of the most successful companies on the NASDAQ and New York Stock Exchanges.  As part of 3M, we are poised for even greater success! The Sr. Industrial Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to the following specific duties: Develop product cost estimates, as requested by Manufacturing, Sales and Engineering departments Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma processes into all cost and growth activities that support inventory, process cycle, reliability improvements and delivery improvements Supervise, conduct and direct time study and methods activities and participate in developing economical job methods.  Compile and submit actual savings on cost reduction projects Develop, with manufacturing, department layouts to improve process flow and increase product efficiencies.  Recommend new tooling, fixturing and material handling to improve productivity Produce and maintain current routings for operation procedures and standard cost development Basic/Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s of Science degree 3 years of experience with Lean Manufacturing 3 years of experience with MS Office, including MS Access, MS Excel 3 years of experience working with cost accounting & financial statements Preferred Qualifications: Masters/Advanced degree in Industrial Engineering  or equivalent Six Sigma or HOSHIM or KAIZEN experience a plus Knowledge of Just-in-time Production Systems required Visual Basic & AutoCAD Experience using JD Edwards ERP system a plusBenefit Information:We offer competitive salaries and health care benefits, a 401K, a company funded pension, and a tuition reimbursement program.
