Job Overview:

ATMI is seeking a dynamic Finance partner who will be the lead finance partner to one of our most critical business segments. You will work closely with the business leader on operational and strategic plans, playing a highly visible role within the global organization. In this position, you will also conduct studies and advise business partners on information concerning market and industry trends, sales, marketing, expansion needs or opportunities, new business opportunities and product development. This challenging role will require a detailed understanding of all aspects of the product line?s pricing, cost and expense accounts, performance measurement, business analysis and new product roadmaps. Through business partnering, you will be an integral part of the organization and provide direction on company internal policies for pricing and process improvement, and drive the business teams to maximize their financial performance. Primary Responsibilities:

? Develop and communicate performance against key financial and operational metrics to P&L Directors on a monthly basis, leading to recommendations and action plans for future improvement. Metrics include Volume, ASP, Revenue, Cost, Mix, and Spending analyses, and various other metrics covering performance of specific business decisions and Strategic Initiatives;
? Partner with finance and other functional teams to understand financial results achieved and ensure appropriate accounting interpretations are made when needed;
? Act as the finance business partner to one of ATMI's most critical business segments;
? Develop and utilize Pro Forma investment analysis models for all new product introduction and capital investment projects. Routinely measure actual performance achieved against projections;
? Partner with Product Managers on Cost of Ownership modeling to determine pricing strategies and assist on any subsequent commercial agreements;
? Act as lead financial partner to directors to deliver the annual Strategic Plan and Operating Plan processes for responsible product lines;
? Evaluate data, develop financial models and plans, and present solutions for which there may be no established approach.
? Participate on special projects as required by management or other business partners;
? Ability to travel 10%.

Education/Experience:

? B.S. Degree in Accounting or Finance required, with an MBA highly preferred;
? 3+ years financial analysis experience, including ad hoc reporting, variance analysis and budgeting;
? Exceptional MS Excel skills along with a solid comfort level using software systems and databases;
? Excellent math, analytical and critical thinking skills;
? Unparalleled ability to dig deep into the details but present high level findings to business partners.
