ABOUT PACIFIC VALVES: Pacific Valves, a division of the Crane Energy Flow solutions, designs, manufacturers, packages and markets, engineered flow control solutions for specific niche applications in the Power generation and Hydrocarbon processing industries. POSITION SUMMARY: The Sr. Contract Administrator is a liaison between our customers and the company for the administration of all assigned contracts. The Sr. Contract Administrator provides technical and commercial support for the Sales Engineers, Sales Manager, and other departments as necessary. Specific Duties and Responsibilities· Responsible for the administration and/or assistance in the management of contracts through shipment and collection as assigned by the Inside Sales Manager and PV Contract Manager. Work will consist of purchase order review, document distribution, document review, and tracking of required document submittals, interfacing with company departments (i.e. Engineering, Planning, Manufacturing, Quality, Accounting, Shipping, etc.) when required to meet specific customer documentation submittal requirements.· Maintain adequate and organized Sales Order files for both immediate and futurereference.· Work closely with field sales managers and company representatives to develop and communicate the most effective customer responsiveness.· Will be involved actively in Crane’s Standard Work Process, the Quality Improvement Process and committed to quality improvement and meeting the requirements of the ISO standards.· Other related duties as assigned by the PV Contract Manager. INTERACTION: · Maintains good working relationships and close liaison with all members of management representing Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, Human Resources, etc.· Competitive drive and desire to win. Tenacious and creative in finding winning strategies and solutions.· Contact with customers and PV associates, Sales reps, and distributors SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: · Knowledge of fluid dynamics, materials engineering, mechanical and electrical applications,project tracking systems, products and application,valving and piping systems, automation systems, industrial manufacturing, or industrial distribution.· Experience and Knowledge of Contract requirements in major International markets. · Experience with securing and fulfilling major construction contracts. MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: · Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field. B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (or associated Engineering discipline) or technical college degree preferred but not required. · A minimum of 5 years experience in an order / contracts environment.· Demonstrated ability to manage people effectively and implement standard work policies.· Proven experience to recruit, develop and retain “A” Players.· Knowledge of valves or equivalent applications.· Proven and successful project selling skills.· Excellent organizational, administrative and interpersonal skills.· Highly developed Contract requirements and self-management skills.· Ability to handle many tasks and meets deadlines.· Possess good oral and written communication and computer skills.· Detail oriented and a self-starter.· A proven leader of a Sales team Note: This position description describes only the general nature and level of work encompassed by this job.
