Specification Marketing Manager

Lightolier, a premier leader in the lighting industry and a Philips group brand product is seeking an individual to join our Sales and Marketing Team, this position is responsible for managing marketing initiatives targeted at the specification community, including assistance in developing Tech Center programming and presentations for specifiers, end users and direct sales force.

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

¨Develop and support marketing initiatives targeted at the specification channel, including the creation of application guides.

 

¨ Market to and build relationships with industry associations such as IIDA, IESNA, AIA and ASID.

 

¨Coordinate tradeshow preparation and implementation, including handling leads i.e. Lightfair, AIA, Global Shop, etc.

 

¨Continue, in conjunction with the marketing and sales staff, to position the Tech Center as the world leader in lighting education.  Responsibilities include:

 

· Assistance in developing Tech Center programming and presentations for specifiers, end users and direct sales force

 

· Management of all maintenance and renovation to the center as well as serving as council to regional Lightolier facilities with demonstration areas

 

· Performance of market research to evaluate the services of the Tech Center and how the Tech Center and Lightolier products can better serve our customers

 

¨  Assumes additional related responsibilities as assigned

 REQUIREMENTS

¨Bachelor’s degree in a technical area and 1-2 years experience in the lighting/electrical industry required or an equivalent combination of technical education/experience

 

¨Must have working knowledge of industry markets including lighting specifiers, lighting end users, electrical distributors and representatives, and electrical contractors

 

¨Excellent communication skills, able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously; proven ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and customers

 

¨ Travel required 25%, must be able to work at least one night per week and coordinate functions as required

 

 

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS



 

¨ Successful completion of lighting coursework desired

¨ Prior experience in classroom instruction, preferably in lighting highly desired

¨ Member of IESNA and NCQLP certification, or LEED AP preferred

¨ Prior work experience with a lamp or luminaire manufacturer

¨ Industry association(s) participation
