Specialist Quality Engineer

Description:Eaton Corporation located in Galesburg, MI has an opening for a Specialist Quality Engineer.The individual performing this role will function as a partner with all Truck plants and suppliers in developing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems for assuring and improving the quality, reliability, and cost effectiveness of products and processes. Responsibilities also include providing product expertise and guidance for current and new product programs, acting as a liaison between internal and external customers, providing training for quality system requirements, advising and assisting in manufacturing process improvements, leading corrective action and follow up activities, and leading and participating in continuous improvement teams. Participate in & lead structured team problem solving & apply statistical & other problem solving tools. The position is located in Galesburg, Michigan - however support of and travel to several Truck plant locations will be required, including non-domestic travel to Mexico, China, and other locations.The individual performing this role will function as a consultant to plants and suppliers in developing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems for assuring and improving the quality, reliability, and cost effectiveness of products and processes.If interested, please apply online at www.eatonjobs.com indicating salary requirements/history. No phone calls or 3rd party vendors please.Qualifications:The ideal candidate should possess a BS in engineering, knowledge of ISO/TS16949, Six Sigma Tools and PROLaunch/APQP. The ideal candidate should also possess CQA, CQM, or CQE certification and knowledge of Eaton Business System tools. Solid knowledge of engineering techniques & manufacturing processes would be preferred. A Six Sigma Blackbelt or Greenbelt would be a plus.
