Sourcing Specialist

Position will manage purchased items/products and any associated items and is responsible for source selection and least total cost pricing functions directly associated with the company's needs for item/products and services. Coordinates and implements cost savings and/or new product projects. Oversees the purchasing phase-in activities for new suppliers and /or new products. Negotiates with existing suppliers to reduce cost. Responsible for the coordination and completion of specific purchasing tasks related to implemented cost savings and/or new product projects. Interfaces with new and existing suppliers, other buyers, quality, engineering, finance and other various departments as needed to meet goals.The qualified candidate will have experience with source selection and least total cost pricing functions associated with the Company's needs for casting items/products and services.* Bachelor's Degree preferred with a minimum of 3-5 years of progressively responsible purchasing experience.* Domestic and international supply chain experience.* Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed to complete the stated objectives. * Ability to effectively analyze & utilize BPCS and I-Kanban reports and systems.* Ability to support and effectively utilize both short and long range plans resulting in effective inventory control and utilization of plant assets.* Proficient with Word, Excel and Outlook.* Ability to effectively communicate (external & internal) both orally and in writing.* Must posses the personality to deal directly with a variety of individuals of all levels in various departments (external & internal) in a harmonious fashion and under fast paced, sometimes critical and stressful conditions.* Ability to evaluate problems, then initiate and implement applicable and timely resolutions.Email your resumePlease click here,or copy and paste the following link into your email browser, to email your resume.
