Solid Works Designer

C&D TECHNOLOGIES, INC. is a publicly held, global, high-tech manufacturer of power storage devices and power supplies. We currently have an opening for a Solid Works Designer in our corporate office in Blue Bell, PA

 

Responsibilities:

 

·  Document engineering drawings and models as required for product development and research activities

·  Organize CAD systems and liaison with purchasing and IT department to assure that system is available as required. 

·  Develop and document standards for solid models, drawings, and other engineering information for use by other members of department

·  Train new and junior members of department on drafting processes. 

 

Requirements:

 

· Two years in CAD, Engineering or Computer Programming Technology with emphasis on CAD Systems Technology (specifically Solid Works and AutoCAD)

· 4 + years CAD experience with mechanical / electrical aptitude or 6+ years CAD experience.

·  Basic computer knowledge in Windows environment (familiar with Microsoft Office). Excellent record-keeping and documentation skills.  Good verbal and written communications skills.
