Software Development Engineer
Small Parts, Inc., in Miramar, Florida, seeks a Software Development Engineer to support and expand our new website post go live.Typical background is a graduate software development engineer with up to 5 years of development experience. Must show an interest in a broad range of technologies and interested in developing enterprise grade software and/or web sites. Candidate will be responsible for detailed functional designs, code development and system integration focused on enterprise grade ecommerce using Amazon technologies. - Technology skills will vary based on experience but we are looking for candidates with Java, J2EE, Web Services, HTML, XML, Apache experience / knowledge
- Candidates must be able to demonstrate that they are well grounded in the fundamentals of Object Oriented Design and have knowledge of design patterns with particular emphasis on MVC
- Depending on experience level, candidates must have and be able to demonstrate software design capabilities
- Knowledge or experience with template languages such as Mason or MVC frameworks such as JSF, Struts would be a strong plus
- Knowledge or experience with software best practices of Test Driven Development (TDD), refactoring and continuous integration is a plus as is project experience using agile / iterative development processes
- Candidate must demonstrate ability to multi-task, quickly adapt to new development environments and changing business requirements, learn new systems and technologies, and find creative and scalable solutions to difficult problems.
- A Bachelor's degree in computer science or a relevant area is required - Master's preferred
