Software & Automation Engineer
Join an elite team of software and automation engineers as we develop the future of surface mining equipment control. The successful candidate will be developing break-through designs utilizing standard and customized control and interface software. This may entail:
*Proposing new automation strategies and functional specifications.
*Developing software and choosing hardware for various motion control platforms and user interfaces.
*Developing integrated systems for motion control, communication, data transfers, and displays among multiple machines and office networks, including remote access or autonomous control.
*Working as part of the team to develop standard code for all product lines.
*Integrating new automation strategies in existing systems.
*Interfacing with engineering product teams and service to ensure smooth hand-over of new developments.
Qualifications
*Highly motivated individual with BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
*Strong background and interest in software development. PLC and HMI experience preferred. Experience in such environments as .NET, Visual Basic, C++, or similar are acceptable. Additional experience in networking, driver development, and other motion control software is a plus.
*Strong interest in automation, motion control, or robotics.
