Site Warehouse Manager

 

to join our Jacksonville, NC team.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The candidate is responsible for overseeing the supervision of employees who will perform the following duties:

§Receives, stores and loads for shipping, all types of property

§Verifies quantity, nomenclature and unit of issue against incoming documents; notes discrepancies, and reports findings. 

§ Responsible for storing, stacking and palletizing items considering use, size, shape, weight, quantity, spoilage, pilferage, contamination and safety to others in assigned locations. 

§Assures that items are properly marked, tagged and labeled.

§ Implements workload estimates to ensure staffing, skill-sets and other resources are adequate for anticipated work.

§Reviews new work, maintenance and operations instructions, submits recommendations for consideration

 

EXPERIENCE:

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising 4-5 associates and directing day-to-day functions of the department to include the following areas:Achieving performance objectives and driving productivity improvement effortsSupporting and directing associates within an automated warehouse environmentDriving department safety, housekeeping, space management,  training, and personnel management issuesSupporting team building and continuous improvement practices within the distribution center, as well as areas of productivity improvement and qualitySupporting and maintaining effective communication and interaction among internal warehouse departments

QUALIFICATIONS:

Successful candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, some college preferred; have a minimum of 5 years leadership experience within an operations environment, preferably in materials management and logistics. Candidates must have excellent leadership skills; a demonstrated track record of success in building teams; excellent written and oral communication skills. Also, must possess strong decision making skills, analytical skills, and organizational skills required to prioritize work and meet deadlines. Candidates must be teamwork oriented and customer focused with a hands-on management approach with employees with disabilities that encourages change and creative problem solving, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced and high-intensity environment. A commitment to continuous improvement in an ever-changing industry is imperative. Qualifications include: Proven leadership and supervisory experience Strong skills in communication, organization, coaching, conflict resolutionSecurity Clearance a plus.
