Sign Estimator Skills Required: Sign Estimator, Engineering Diploma, Blue print, Message schedules, Bid documents, Architectural drawings/print, Job Description: Sign EstimatorIf you have 5+ years experience in estimating materials, labor, and overall costs associated with the sign manufacturing and installation and have an Engineering diploma please read on!What you will be doing:- Estimating materials, labor, and overall costs associated with sign manufacturing and installation.What you need:- MINIMUM of FIVE years experience in estimating materials, labor, and overall costs associated with sign manufacturing and installation. - Experience in estimation of raw materials, pre-fab materials, outsourced materials, labor, equipment, tools, crating, and transportation of custom, national, and wholesale signage. - Ability to assist in compiling cost data for job cost system and establishing and revising production standards. - Experience in the fundamentals of sign construction, including sheet metal, wiring, and installation, and the ability to visualize the inner workings of the signs to be manufactured. - Basic knowledge of lateral force calculations and wind-loading, as well as support and foundation design. - Good understanding of engineering and architectural drawings and principles. - Ability to read blue prints, message schedules, and bid documents. - Computer skills and general experience in computer-aided design. - Flexibility with learning new systems. Strong desire to work to improve existing estimating systems. - Strong analytical and mathematical skills. - Solid communication skills required.
