Shipping Clerk - 1st Shift

The Shipping Clerk position is responsible for finished goods inventory to include receiving, pulling, packing, and shipping. Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Package and address parcels or boxes of merchandise or materials, attach postage, make up bills of lading, keep a record of goods shipped.

Performs other clerical tasks such as typing and mailing bills, typing correspondence, and keeping files.

Verify completeness against shipping picking documents and may assemble orders for shipment counts.

May exercise limited authority to change procedures to meet special cases, and follow-up by notifying Supervisor.

Requirements :

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

1 year related experience in international shipping Safety minded

Able to operate a forklift. Mathematical Skills :

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.



Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability :

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.



Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift 50lbs
