Shift Supervisor - Fabrication Primary Functions: • Oversees daily operations of production line(s) to ensure timely completion of product schedules and maintenance of quality.  • Working under general supervision from the Production Manager, supervises the training and work of Machine Operators.  • Refers any decision on tooling or schedule changes to the Production Manager. • Provides preventive and corrective maintenance for production equipment under guidance of the maintenance department.  Troubleshoots tooling and setup problems. • Motivates all shift employees to achieve and exceed established production goals. • Monitors all operating practices and procedures to ensure a safe, productive, and clean work environment. • Assists in production / replaces absent workers when production needs dictate. • Submits reports to Management as required. Desired Experience: 2+ years in a leadership role in a related production environment; 3-5 years in a continuous process manufacturing environment.Required Education / Training: High school graduate, on-the-job training, and course work in supervisory skills. Bilingual (English / Spanish) very helpful.Specialized Equipment: Forklift, IBM PC. The shift reuires 1-2 weeks for training on the 1st and 2nd shift each, then working the 3rd shift for 6 months, followed by permanant placement in the 2nd shift. Please note that this is a temp to perm position, though the right candidate can be hired perm immediately only if necessary.
