Our mining division in Mountain, MN has an immediate opening for a Shift Manager - Agglomerator Operations. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
The Shift Manager - Agglomerator Operations will be responsible for the day-to-day support and operations of assigned area.
Major Responsibilities: Administer the U. S. Steel safety program to ensure a safe work environment. Coordinate and direct the safe, efficient, and economical operation of the facility. Comply with the environmental management system requirements. Utilize management skills to supervise, direct and coordinate the efforts of employees assigned to the operating facility to maximize efficiency with minimum interruption. Implement the production plan by coordinating material movement and equipment operation to meet customer's specifications. Perform administrative activities such as conducting safety contacts, administer safety meetings, completing environmental reports, ordering parts, scheduling of crews, completing maintenance reports, and other reporting as necessary by the operating facility.
Performance Metrics: Establish performance goals and objectives with the Area Manager – Agglomerator Operations Ensure Safe Operation
Job Requirements:
Education: A college or technical school degree and/or two or more years of supervisory experience are required. Preferred candidate will have mining or industry related experience.
