This is 6 month contract-to-hire, Mon - Fri, 1st shift opportunity. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Use Solidworks software to design and detail sheet metal components and assemblies. - Responsible for assembly instructions and/or drawings and coordination of necessary jigging or fixturing in conjunction with design efforts - Produce bills of material for assemblies - Train manufacturing personnel on assembly instructions and use of jigging or fixturing for proper assembly of new products. - Provide support to manufacturing personnel to resolve design issues - Use proper design principles when incorporating dampers, louvers and bypass areas - Use proper design principles to incorporate space requirements for components such as fans, coils, heaters, etc. REQUIREMENTS:- Knowledge of sheetmetal fabrication and assembly. - Excellent CAD skills - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software - High mechanical aptitude - Excellent written and oral communication skills - Detail oriented with excellent follow-through skills EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:- Minimum associates degree or equivalent work experience using CAD software for sheetmetal design. - 1 - 5 years experience in engineering design using Solidworks** MUST be able to pass a drug test and background check **Send resumes to [email address removed] Required Skills: DESIGN OF SHEETMETAL ASSEMBLIES, PRODUCE BILL OF MATERIALS, EXCELLENT CAD SKILLS, MS OFFICE PROFICIENCY, EXCELLENT WRITTEN & ORAL COMMUNICATION, SOLIDWORKS EXPERIENCEJoin Aerotek CESM, one of the leading providers of engineering and engineering support professionals in North America.
