Service Technician - Automated and CNC Equipment. Aluminum & PVC Markets

Elumatec, Manufacturer of hi-tech aluminum cutting machinery, has 2 positions available for a full time Service Technician.  Candidates can be based out of their home, as long as it is near a major airport, or be based out of our office, in South Bend, Indiana.  Applicants would be required to travel all of North America.  Traveling 100% of the time is possible especially when based out of your home.  Applicants will be responsible for the service, repair and installation of aluminum and PVC profile cutting machinery with computerized controls, training of customer’s staff, trouble-shooting to correct machine breakdowns (either in person or via telephone), communicating with the corporate office or technical service manager to resolve problems.

 

Education Requirements: High School Diploma (Assoc Degree preferred)

Experience Required: 2 years as a service technician, preferably in the repair of profile cutting machinery.  Mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PC skills are a must.  Knowledge of both Dos and Windows systems is a plus.  Applicants must be motivated, reliable, flexible, able to adapt to constantly changing work environments, have a clean driving record, and able to keep proper documentation for the work they perform, as well as the expenses they create.  All expenses are paid.

 

You must be able to speak clear English.  The ability to speak and understand German, Spanish, or French (especially technical terms) is a plus but not required.
