Sensor Sales Manager - Central Region

Description:Eaton Corporation has an immediate opening for a regional Sensor Sales Manager. This position will cover the East Central / Central regions throughout the US. The primary function of this position will achieve Business Unit sales, profitability and market share growth goals for Industrial Sensors within a specific geographic sales territory. Develop and grow new major OEM accounts within target industry segments including, but not limited to, Material Handling and Packaging. Develop a local manufacturers representative network and/or specialty distribution channel as needed to support business objectives within the assigned territory. Align with the General Sales Force to achieve targeted sales goals for existing accounts. Achieve specified strategic objectives as defined by the Business Unit. Provide segment expertise in support of defining product and technology roadmaps, and lead product and technology customer engagements toward the goals of driving awareness, customer technology adoption, specification preference and a leadership position in target segments. Main Responsibilities include:A. Build and execute plan for new business development with new OEM accounts and achieve business unit goals for sales, margin & market share with these targeted accountsB. Build a local or regional manufacturers representative and/or specialty channel as needed to achieve business unit goals for sales, margin & market shareC. Develop industry and domain expertise to drive product / technology roadmaps as well as portfolio expansion for the Business UnitD. Partner with Business Unit Marketing and Engineering teams to achieve tactical and strategic objectives, such as: -strategic pricing initiatives to ensure alignment to annual product line business objectives -effective product launches for new standard & custom products -promotional and other marketing campaignsE. Partner with general sales force & channel organization to formulate appropriate strategies and support company and product line objectives for existing accountsF. Analyze key competitors to identify strengths, weakness, and opportunities related to products, service level, and strategies.G. Actively support the product line team and SCOE for SIOP forecasting purposes.The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria: -Proven commercial track record with the ability to develop and implement problem-solving solutions, plan strategically, and demonstrate flexibility in applying standard and custom solutions -Sales and/or channel development and management experience. -Deep understanding of Industrial SensorsAdditional Criteria: -BS or BA in Engineering, marketing or business required -7 to10 years general sales experience managing OEM accounts, with a minimum of 3 years experience managing large, high profile, multi-site customers, preferably in the material handling and or packaging industries -Strong technical and commercial skills required -Solid experience selling / applying technical solutions / components: sensors (required), operator interface and logic controllers (preferred), and industrial controls (preferred) -Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with internal / external customers and at all levels of the organizationIf interested, please apply online at www.eatonjobs.com indicating salary requirements/history.
