Steelcase has 14,000 employees, multiple manufacturing plants and sales offices, plus dealers in more than 800 places around the world. To respond to the contemporary design community and present forward-thinking, tailored application solutions, Steelcase is looking for Sr. Application Specialist in San Francisco or Los Angeles, California. The successful candidate will:  comprehend and translate application trends occurring in regional markets, aggregate them and interface with Grand Rapids product applications and product development leaders to inform new product development, translate application trends and research information into applications that utilize Steelcase product lines that are existing, or suggest and develop reasonable custom applications to provide Steelcase differentiation, support mockup process with a creative eye toward differentiation against competitors, provide advanced product training and tie to conceptual design applications for dealer technical support personnel, mentor dealer technical support personnel toward a higher level of understanding when working with the A&D community, understand competitive furniture landscape and advanced concepts and processes being utilized by competitive manufacturers in order to portray a Steelcase solution in a positive, competitive spotlight. In addition, time management skills, organization skills, and the ability to work without supervision are essential to be successful in this role.
