Hollister is seeking a qualified R&D Professional to support our Technology Department in Libertyville, IL.
Senior
Technician
You will conduct basic analysis of test data, execute testing & technology development initiatives, and suggest innovative ways to meet the needs of the R&D Team. In addition, you will play an active roll in the integration of new technologies, methods, and/or processes while extending their customer & team understanding to meet requirements for Hollister products, methodologies and processes. The Senior Technician works under the supervision of an R&D Specialist or Senior Scientist within their Team, and demonstrates a sound understanding of required skills to complete assignments. The Senior Technician is familiar with Hollister key competitors, products, and related technologies, as well as demonstrates an understanding of company policies & procedures.
Specific Responsibilities:Technology & New Product Development Support both technology & new product development by accomplishing assigned tasks within teamUpdate project team of status, pertinent observations and/or results on a timely basisPrepare summary reports and organizes results for extended analysesEvaluate new/alternative testing methodologies and make recommendations to improve sample preparation, data collection, and/or lab & bench-scale prototypingResearch fundamental relationships Execute development and investigative plans & assignmentsProvide input to scope & approach of development activitiesCommunicate observations & outcomes on a timely basisEvaluate novel investigative & experimental methods, modifications or test proceduresExecute data collection plans & provide input to systems and methods which advance analyses & substantiate team recommendations
Qualifications:Minimum of Associate's Degree with at least 4 years experience -or- a Bachelor's Degree and 2 years experience Satisfactory communication, interpersonal, and writing skills Familiarity/proficiency with MS Office & Windows applications desired Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the Chemical, Medical Device, Hygiene, and/or Packaging Industries
