Senior Systems Engineer

As a member of Insight Technology’s Advanced Development Engineering team the successful candidate will provide systems engineering leadership and technical expertise to support the development of military battlefield systems for the Warfighter.  Insight Technology’s ADE Team is focused on providing innovative enterprise solutions that maximize the soldier’s effectiveness on the battlefield.  As a Systems Engineer you will perform high level engineering development on electro-optic and related military systems requiring complete knowledge of the technology, military tactics-training-procedures (TTPs), real-time operations, experimentation, simulation and wargaming.  In this role you will review current problems of the Warfighter relevant to finding solutions, develop and apply advanced methods in the investigation and finds solutions of difficult and complex military system design requirements, provide in depth technical engineering analysis, conduct and direct projects including coordinating the efforts of engineers and technical staff in the performance of assigned tasks, and provide technical consultation to customer.

 

An advanced degree in engineering, operations research, or other quantitative science is desirable.  Active military service or comparable experience providing direct support to the military is a plus.  Candidates must be able to work independently and as part of a team.  BS, MS, or PhD in engineering, physics or sciences, 5 years related experience, excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to obtain security clearance required.  Preferred previous military experience and MS or PhD in a technically related field and 7 years related experience.
