Senior Reliability and Test Engineer

Position Responsibilities:

· In charge of reliability and qualification measurements for a line of GaAs semiconductor-based solar cells and receivers currently under development. 

· Establish an in-house reliability and device qualification laboratory. 

· Perform reliability measurements on solar cells and receivers per customer requirements, industry standards, and third party standards. 

· Perform qualification measurements on solar cells and receivers per customer requirements, industry standards, and third party standards. 

· Make predictions of product service life. 

· Work with outside test and measurement laboratories. 

· Analyze reliability failures and provide feedback to product designers. 

· Perform reliability assessments of cell and receiver designs. 

· Communicate reliability concepts to all levels of the MicroLink organization and take the lead in cultivating a corporate culture of product reliability. 

· Manage lower level personnel as necessary to complete reliability tasks. 

 

Qualifications:

· BS (required) or MS (preferred) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with at least 10 years of reliability experience. 

· Ability to perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to evaluate product mechanical and thermal functional reliability performance and failure modes. 

· Familiarity with Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA). 

· Proven ability to use engineering concepts to build high reliability into electromechanical products. 

· Familiar with reliability analysis software.

· High degree of personal ownership and pride in work. 

· Able to work with minimum supervision.
