Senior Project Engineer
The project Engineer is responsible of the flawless launch of new products and processes to production. In this role the Project Engineer will coordinate all projects with the Engineering Program Manager.
This position coordinates with: Operations, Quality, Sales, other engineering personnel and technicians, division and corporate support personnel, customers and suppliers.
Responsibilities:
The Senior Project Engineer maintains complete and accurate records of assigned project activities per the established Quality System.Aids with short- and long-term planning for capital expenditures relating to future production requirements; Lead projects involving new capital. Advises the Program Manager and President of any cost related issues for assigned projects.Plans and organizes project time lines for assigned projects using established APQP Project Management tools. Establishes and documents time lines for assigned projects. This should include major milestones concluding with a complete documentation package for transition to production and quality control.Generates and maintains documentation for all internal processes, inspection criteria, Bill of Materials and other manufacturing and quality records. Conceptualizes and develops lean manufacturing processes for new and existing business opportunities, which may include new and/or modified plant, equipment and process needs.Supports production on injection molding of LSR materials and processes, assembly and packaging processes, as well as troubleshooting production issues.Interfaces with customers and suppliers on project matters, mold and fixture design, process capability studies, product quality issues, and executes on automation related projects. Aids with short- and long-term planning for capital expenditures relating to future production requirements; leads projects involving new capital. Maintain a vigilance to identify new potential technologies for the company.Identifies and initiates projects to improve productivity and reduce scrap reject rates through automation, effective training of production personnel and process enhancements.Conduct internal audits and assists with maintaining the Quality System to ISO-13485 standards. Maintains adherence to company policies safety ergonomic standards, and good housekeeping practices.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, preferably plastics or mechanical engineering. Minimum 5 years working as a process project engineer/product engineer Demonstrated APQP project management skills managing engineering projects Technical experience in injection molding of liquid silicone and related mold designExperience with automation and assembly machinery.2+ years of experience in managing engineering projectsExperience in manufacturing environment of medical or health care products preferredDemonstrated CAD experience in 2D dimensioning and tolerancing and 3D solid modeling is requiredExperience using Solidworks is a plusBS and or MS in Plastics engineering is a plusIf you feel meet the require, please forward your resume to cindyc@emsi.net
