Senior Product Design Engineer

OUR CLIENT –  Is a leader in the design, manufacture, distribution and service of high quality construction, agricultural and grounds maintenance equipment. The Company was founded in 1969 and employees over 1,600 people worldwide. Some of their member companies have been in business for over 100 years. They produce and assemble products in 16 principal facilities located in the US, England, France, Canada and Australia. For over three decades, they have focused on satisfying customer needs through geographic market expansion, product development and refinement, and select acquisitions. They have a dominant share position in all of their major market segments. Since 1969, development as a company has been enhanced by approximately twenty-five acquisitions. Products with various trade names are sold through an extensive worldwide network of independent dealers. They are a non-union company with modern, well-equipped facilities. They are growing and adding facilities. The operation you would join has hired over 200 people in the last two years. The company is focused on satisfying customer needs through geographic market expansion, product development, product refinement and selected acquisitions.   THEIR OPPORTUNITY –  You will work in their centralized engineering, test and R&D center, reporting to the Engineering Manager. You will have “end to endâ€� responsibility for products you work on and be involved from conception to customer release. That includes involvement with the customer in the field to evaluate performance. You will be responsible for developing product design lay outs using  SolidWorks or similar software (ProE, Unigraphics, etc.).  You will be involved in selecting the best components to be used for each product designed, based on required specifications.  You will assist in overseeing R&D Technicians in manufacture of prototypes to ensure fit-up accuracy of parts and implementation of product flows from design to actual production. You will be directly involved in field-testing of new products and evaluation of performance and structural integrity.  WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR IN A CANDIDATE: · Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering · Experience with solid modeling, design layouts, assembly drawings and/or component part drawings  · Good computer skills to include Cad software· Knowledge of engineering design standards and metal-fab manufacturing capabilities  · Knowledge of Bill of Materials, stress analysis, material selection and material sizing· At least 5 years experience in “cradle to graveâ€� project engineering   Paid relocation is provided.  If this sounds like your next career growth step, please send your resume in MS Word format to careers@worldbridgepartners.com .
