Join us and work with a team that is highly respected throughout the industry.Job Description:This is a position for a Senior Procurement Specialist to support the Supply Chain team. This position is responsible for the sourcing and planning of materials for AS&E production products. Position has a primary role in supporting the UPC product cost reduction plan and all aspects of managing cost. Supports the Supply Chain team to accomplish goals related to material supply, supplier management, inventory control, sourcing and product cost. This position is a hands-on role supporting a high level of ongoing Supply Chain activity and will include preparation of POs and related activity.Requirements:B.S. Degree in a business or technical discipline 10+ years experience in procurement and materials Strong contracting experience with electrical or mechanical commodities (Cables, sheet metal, etc.) Solid depth of experience in driving direct material cost reduction Applied experience in materials management helpful High mix, low volume OEM manufacturing experience important Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications Some experience with subcontracts and suppliers of technically complex products is a plus Previous use of Oracle ERP, C.P.M. and/or CPIM certifications desirable
