Qualifications:
General FunctionThis position is responsible for Channel Marketing and Business Development for CertainTeed’s Insulation Lumber & Retail business. This position will be responsible for developing customer focused marketing programs and business plans to generate demand and drive sales for the channels assigned. Determine customer (lumber dealer, 2-step distributor and home center/retail) needs and define promotional programs to achieve strategic objectives. Develop volume and share goals by product line and track performance. Provide direction to marketing operations, sales, manufacturing, finance, and technology to execute plans, programs, and strategic objectives. This person will be accountable for managing overall product and promotional profitability for both existing products and new product opportunities.Duties / Responsibilities• Plan, execute, evaluate and upgrade marketing tactics to achieve strategic goals in product, price, promotion, and distribution, while providing direction to Retail Marketing Manager• Investigate and manage new product development opportunities by channel• Develop, plan, and execute Lumber Channel Marketing Strategy; Lumber Marketing plan; Lumber Sales Support programs; and Pull-through activity/demand generation.• Identify, quantify and drive business development opportunities for Lumber & Retail business, including exploration of new products, new market segments and possible partnership/joint marketing opportunities. • Work in conjunction with IG sales and national account sales to ensure sales objectives and marketing programs are implemented and strategic goals obtained • Direct activities of the various communications group to develop and execute promotional and support elements. Work in conjunction with IG Residential & Commercial to align priorities of IG Marketing Communications team• Direct Market Research to execute needed testing and analysis and prepare business analysis to support decision makingRequirements:This individual must be able to balance the concerns of the various departmental interests involved in CertainTeed’s Lumber & Retail business. Requires excellent leadership skills to set objectives and lead matrix organization in execution. Creative approach to problem solving and opportunity analysis required. Strong analytic and computer skills required. Experience in as many different functional areas (i.e. sales, product design, manufacturing, marketing, etc.) will be considered an asset.Knowledge?
