Senior Manufacturing Engineer Tyco Safety Products is a division of Tyco International, a worldwide leader in fire protection and electronic security solutions. Within Tyco Safety Products, we design, manufacture, and distribute thousands of products ranging from fire detection and suppression systems, personal protective equipment and intrusion security to access control and video solutions, anti-theft and supply chain solutions.Ansul is a division of Tyco Safety Products and is currently searching for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to be located in Marinette, Wisconsin. Job Responsibilities: In this role, you will be responsible to improve manufacturing operations by implementing new or improved processes that increase output, improve product quality and ultimately reduce manufacturing costs while simultaneously maintaining or improving operator safety. Conceives, investigates, evaluates and make recommendations for new equipment, tooling, and processes to improve safety, reliability, capacity and reduce costs. Manages equipment purchases, installations and project budgets. Maintains and improves existing equipment by working with Maintenance, Supervision and Material Control. Supports plant shutdowns, breakdowns and preventative maintenance schedules.Manages and/or participates in Health and Safety, Environmental, Production, Material Control, Six Sigma, and R&D project teams.Writes action plans, responsibility lists, weekly activity reports, work instructions and test procedures and other documentation to support factory operations. Requirements: Bachelor?s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from an Accredited University (on-line education does not qualify).5 to 10 years of manufacturing related experience.Experience with metal processes (fabrication, welding, painting, etc.)Highly developed mechanical aptitude.Significant experience with improving manufacturing methods and processes.Practical knowledge of PLC ladder logic, pneumatics, hydraulics, and solenoid valves.Experience with Root cause analysis techniques and Six Sigma approach and tools.Experience with capital equipment installation and project management.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficient use of computer including Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook.Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
