We are a progressive company with over 600 employees in five global manufacturing facilities in Minneapolis, Athens, GA; Roanoke, VA, Genk, Belgium and Guadalajara, Mexico. This position would be located in our Roanoke, VA location.

The Sr. HR Generalist is responsible for the field support of day-to-day Human Resources operations for our Roanoke, VA manufacturing site. The Sr. HR Generalist will assist the VP, Human Resources and the Plant Manager in developing and implementing strategic HR policies and practices.
Areas of Responsibility:Recruitment and Employment Employee Relations & Performance Improvement Labor Relations Compensation & Benefits Training & Employee Communication Record Keeping and HR Data Management
Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field with at least 4 years of HR generalist experience Master's Degree or currently enrolled in a Masters program is strongly preferred Must be able to travel 10% Manufacturing industry experience is preferred
Core Competencies:Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical, organizational and diplomatic skills. Dependable team player with collaborative working style. Ability to establish trust and credibility with all levels and be viewed as an important contributor to the success of the business. Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues. Must have the ability to make recommendation to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is in consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law. Solid knowledge of HR Best Practices particularly in areas of recruitment, engagement, retention and non-exempt pay practices. Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations relating to all employment functions.
