Senior Electrical Engineer

Job Summary Researches, designs, tests, implements, and supports both PC- and PLC-based control systems for high-temperature vacuum furnaces by performing the following duties. Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.Designs and directs engineering personnel in fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment, and determines methods, procedures, and conditions for testing products.Develops applications of controls, instruments, and systems for new commercial, domestic, and industrial uses.Directs activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements.Directs and coordinates operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in field installations.Specify and integrate process sensors and subsystems including both low-level high accuracy and high power components.Ensures compliance with domestic and international electrical, safety, RFI and other regulatory requirements.Troubleshoot design, integration and certification problems for new designs. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Education and/or Experience Minimum of BS degree in electrical engineering, MS desired and five plus years of experience with electrical aspects of industrial equipment.Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of AutoCAD Design software; BPCS or other MRP system Manufacturing software; MS Excel Spreadsheet software and MS Word Word Processing software. Other Skills and Abilities Knowledge of CE marking process; Knowledge of NEC. Mechanical design proficiency desirable.Other QualificationsSome international travel may be required.
