Stewart Systems is a focused group of engineers, scientists and craftsmen dedicated to understanding the needs of high volume production in the baking industry and constantly improving our equipment to meet the needs of our customers. Today, Stewart Systems manufactures a complete line of unit equipment and systems for a global community producing high volumes of bread and buns for an ever-growing market, including fast foods, worldwide. Looking for an experienced and highly talented purchasing professional with significant experience and a track record of getting things done in a manufacturing environment. The right candidate will need to ensure that the right information is created and available to support management decision-making process. About the Opportunity Help Stewart Systems Global LLC be a leader in the industry by acting as the Senior Purchasing Buyer who obtains requirements; verifies purchase requisitions; forwards available inventory items; prepares purchase orders; obtains purchased items; verifies receipt of items; authorizes payment for purchases; keeps information accessible; provides purchasing planning and control information; updates job knowledge; accomplishes purchasing and organization mission.

Qualifications

Manages vendors to achieve the lowest possible cost and the highest quality products for various account promotions.

Has superior organizational skills. Keeps files and work area organized. Maintains a comprehensive library of reference and historical data.

Capable of producing comprehensive documentation.

Previous office management experience. Can maintain resource materials, supplies, and equipment to ensure smooth office operation.

Strong working knowledge of various quality and inspection requirements, manufacturing processes, and measurement techniques.

Ability to develop solutions for material-oriented production and purchasing problems. Experience in buying raw material, electrical components, power transmission and pneumatics.

Is attentive to the needs of customers. Responds quickly and competently to customer requests.

Skilled at measuring costs of products, services, or other cost objectives.

Skilled at analyzing causes of variances between actual and budgeted income and expenses.

Knowledge of manufacturing methods and procedures.

BS or equivalent experience.

CPM a Plus
