Second Shift Inventory & Distribution Support Associate Cleveland, OH 44101 This position works for the distribution manager and with inventory supervisor. A significant percent (60% to 70%) of their shift in the distribution and shipping areas. Hours: 2:00pm - 10:30pmDuties/Responsibilities, Core knowledge:Will assist the distribution manager by: Providing shipping and order processing support to common carriers and the second shift distribution team.As a contact point for problem resolution on loading/paperwork for outbound shipments.Inspects all outbound shipments on a daily basis and assures compliance with all shipping processes and procedures.Shipment posting data entry into SAP.Will provide oversight and guidance on order processing activities.In conjunction with distribution manager schedule inbound and outbound freight to comply with shipping schedules and capacity.Will assist the inventory supervisor by: Will assist the inventory supervisor with cycle counting.Troubleshoot and solve inventory issues.Keep the computerized system and the physical inventory accurateWill provide oversight and guidance to employees on inventory management activities.Conduct system and floor research to maintain inventory accuracy.Audit inventory posting for accuracy.Oversee activities to maintain overall warehouse appearance including a safe, neat, organized and productive work environment.Position includes typical office clerical activities– filing data entry, report generation and other as required duties.Skills, Qualifications, Experience, Special Physical Requirements:2+ years experiences in distribution transportation, logistics or inventory operations and/or a BS degree in distribution or logisticsDistribution operations and common terminologyInventory management procedures and general practicesAccurate, detailed workExperience with MS Office products, Lean, Kaizan, or 5S-manufacturing environment a plusAbility to work under limited supervision and exercise independent judgmentAbility to provide guidance and support to distribution personnelStrong organizational skills and attentiveness to detailsAbility to take initiative, research and troubleshoot issues and provide results ensuring customer satisfactionExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal skillsMust be self-directed and highly motivated to accomplish tasks and achieve results Apply Now
