Saw Operator - Manufacturing

Fircroft is currently seeking a Saw Operator to join the dynamic team of one of our Houston based privately owned clients.This company has over 200 employees world wide.They have offices located in US, the North Sea area, Middle East, Latin America, Asia Pacific, Africa, and Canada.

SUMMARY OF ROLE:
Operation of saw to produce accurate cuttings of tubular steel and recording of such cuttings for use in further production of inflatable packers or other downhole tools for the oil and gas industry.Provide general assistance to departmental staff as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Set-up and operation of saw to produce accurate cuttings of tubular steel, per verbal instructions or by reading engineering drawings or blueprints

*Maintain accurate recordings of cuttings and keep balanced records of remaining lengths of steel in stock or on hand, by OD measurement, from which cuttings have been made

*Operate other machinery as required to complete a process

*Provide general assistance to machinists, processors or other departmental staff

*Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
