Sales Territory Manager

North Safety Products currently has an opening for a Sales Territory Manager in our Southern Washington, Oregon, and Idaho region.  We have been a quality manufacturer for over 75 years and provide the broadest line of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) available globally.  North serves a number of industry segments and offers PPE in:  Eye & Face, Fall Protection, First Aid, Footwear, Head, Hearing, Hand, Clothing, Lockout/Tagout, Welding, Respiratory, and Traffic Products.

This position is accountable for generating sales volume within the assigned territory.  Responsibilities are performed within the corporate strategies, goals, objectives, budgetary limits and established cost restraints.  The candidate will provide our customers with the highest levels of product and service excellence.

 

Applicants should have at least five years experience in selling, sales planning and customer relations.  A Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Marketing or equivalent experience is essential.  Knowledge of competitive pricing and activities as well as experience with Industrial Sales is preferred.  Experience with distributor management is desired.  Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) knowledge is also a plus.  This position does require traveling.

 

The principle accountabilities of this position are:

1.  Achieve sales volume consistent with corporate strategy within territory.

2. Continued maintenance and development of good working relationships with distributors and other sales personnel as well as key end users.

3.  Communicate with Product Managers in maintaining the quality of products and developing new products.

4.  Provide timely and knowledgeable market information, competition and customer needs to management team as required.

5.  Provide timely and accurate reports and memoranda to management.

6. Assure that the distributor sales force is knowledgeable in the technical attributes and applications of all products.

7.  Administer promotions, programs and new product introductions.
